Committees
At Fountains Primary, we have a number of committees which allow the children to impact positive change within the school and wider community.
These committees represent the student population and allow children to take on leadership roles, develop and carry out school activities and have a voice.
School Council
The Fountains Primary School Council allows all of our children a 'voice' on important school matters. The council comprises one representative from each class, from Reception to Year 6.
During the half-termly council meetings, we discuss important matters about the children's school lives, like lunchtime clubs and the hot dinner menu. The councillors also discuss what we can do to make things better.

Eco-Schools
The pupils on the Primary site have been busy electing a new Eco-Schools committee of eight members. We have already met this term to discuss what we can do to gain the Silver Eco-Schools award. One of the items on our agenda is to tackle the litter problem by organising regular litter picks. The committee also plan to buy and decorate plant pots for planting new flowers and shrubs. We will be conducting an environmental review of the school, and we will be making recycling boxes for old batteries.

Online Safety
Online Safety is important to keeping children safe at Fountains Primary School. We have a committee of members dedicated to ensuring all children, staff and parents know how to keep themselves safe online and are supported fully with any online safety concerns. The committee meets once every half term and plans exciting and important online safety challenges for the entire school.
