We hope you all had a lovely Easter break and are refreshed ready to start the Summer Term!
Over the previous term, the children took part in lots of activities all about space during our continuous provision. We had a visit from the Bubble Man, celebrated Red Nose Day and Down Syndrome Awareness Day and took part in our Easter Bonnet parade. The children have made great progress in their own steps of communication and have began to use our Zones of Regulation to self-regulate themselves.
This half term our topic is “Are we there yet?”. We’ll go on a fantastic journey and see how many forms of transport we know. As part of our music work, we’ll accompany stories and songs about transport with music and movement. How far can inflated balloons travel? We’ll play with them to find out. We will learn about floating and sinking by building miniature boats, and explore the cause and effect of rolling cars down ramps.
I look forward to supporting the children in their learning journey over this last term!
