Statement from Esteem MAT

Writer: Fountains Primary SchoolFountains Primary School

On behalf of everyone at Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, I would like to express our deep sadness following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll.

Her dedication to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as the countries of the Commonwealth is unparalleled and we are grateful for her long years of service.

All schools who are part of Esteem will observe the mourning period while continuing to support our students, families and employees.

Unless otherwise informed by the school, any scheduled activities and events will continue as planned. We will observe a national holiday, should it be announced, for Her Majesty’s funeral, which means that the school will be closed for that day, but outside of this, school hours will continue as normal. We will keep students informed of news about these events.

If you think your child may be experiencing particular upset due to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, please let your school know so we can provide support as needed.

Should there be anything further we can support you with, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards

Gemma Aitken
