Welcome back! We hope you have had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would love to hear about all of your festive celebrations, or see photographs, of the children's adventures or achievements.
Over the previous term, the children were very busy participating in lots of festive activities including reindeer food making, Christmas card writing and lots of Christmas crafts. We all enjoyed our trip to the Snowdome, visit from Santa and were all fantastic in this years Christmas production: ‘Who will save Christmas?’. We have been working particularly hard with our communication skills, using Makaton signs and exploring symbols, making our own individual progress and achievements.
This half term our topic is “Why don’t snakes have legs?”. We aim to explore different photos and reptile toys through our play and share which ones are our favourites. Using musical instruments and actions, we’ll recreate the movements of different reptiles. Counting and ordering will help us to develop our mathematical skills.
I look forward to supporting the children in their learning and watch them grow and achieve as young individuals.
